These landmarks are converted into a unique facial vector that is compared against our global database of face submissions. Results are ranked by cosine similarity score, showing you the closest matches first.
Our matching engine achieves 92%+ precision on clear, front-facing portrait photos. Accuracy decreases with low lighting, extreme angles, heavy filters, or partial face coverage. For best results, use a natural-light, front-facing photo with no sunglasses or heavy makeup.
We accept JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WEBP formats. Maximum file size is 10MB. The photo must clearly show the full face. Group photos or photos where the face is less than 20% of the frame may not process correctly.
Most scans complete in 5–15 seconds. During peak traffic, results may take up to 60 seconds. You'll see a progress indicator while the AI is processing your photo.
Photos uploaded for scanning only are processed in memory and are not permanently stored unless you explicitly submit your photo to the public gallery or post a bounty. If you choose to submit to the gallery, your photo may be retained for matching purposes. You can request deletion at any time by emailing contact@doppelganger.world.

A bounty is a reward posted by a user who wants to find their real-life doppelganger. They upload their photo, set a cash or prize reward (e.g. ₹10,000), and our community of look-alike hunters can submit verified matches to claim the prize. It's a fun, gamified way to connect real-world twins.
Sign in with your Google account, navigate to the Gallery section on the homepage, and click Post a Bounty. Fill in the reward details, upload your photo, and publish. Your bounty will be visible to all users.
Submitted matches are reviewed by our AI similarity engine (threshold: 85%+) and optionally reviewed by the bounty poster. A match is confirmed only when both the AI score meets the threshold and the poster approves. This prevents fraudulent claims.
Basic face scanning is completely free. You can upload a photo and receive look-alike matches at no cost. Premium features — such as high-precision deep scans, advanced filters, and posting bounties — may be subject to fees. We'll always be transparent about any paid features before you proceed.
No account is required for a basic face scan. However, to participate in bounties, save your scan history, or submit to the gallery, you'll need to sign in with Google. This keeps your data secure and ensures only genuine users interact with the platform.

Yes. All uploaded photos are stored on Cloudinary, a professional cloud image hosting service. Photos are served securely over HTTPS. We do not use your photos for any purpose beyond displaying them in the public gallery as you have consented to.
